Flying to Hong Kong, South Korea, Indonesia and Singapore with the intent of capturing 17 fashion designers to create profile videos to be used on the Inverted Edge website upon launching their new online fashion store. Me and Angela, the director, met and filmed these designers within their workspaces.
The trip was quite hectic, having up to 4 film shoots a day, setting up the lighting, dolly and microphones, followed by charging batteries and collating footage – then just add traveling between countries on top of that. But as is with most travel – it’s was awesome in the end and a great experience. The videos were all shot on a Canon 5D MarkIII, a great versatile camera for what we were doing. I’m not the most experienced videographer, but being a designer/video editor allows me to visualise the end product quite easily, so the whole process became quite natural.
