Here is an event flyer created for a cultural event.
Whether you think this is cool, uncool, trendy, unfashionable, whether you adhere to the life of a hipster or think you are far beyond the pettiness of such a label, it’s safe to say, the hipsters (or non-hipster hipsters) have taken over. Tim Delger has hit the nail on the head (not sure if it’s cool to say this anymore) and drawn up this Complete guide to designing the perfect Hipster logo. The infographic outlines all the elements required for the perfect Hipster logo in 6 easy steps, sarcastically yes, but he’s right! It seems like a lot of Sydney’s cafés, restaurants and bars have hired a designers who has used this guide – or maybe it was just the same designer. However, as a designer, when presenting concepts to a client, (even though the guide tells us “No concept necessary”) you should always provide one logo that uses these guidelines in my opinion. Whether you like it or not, it seems this style has become popular culture and we all need to embrace it… So we can all move on to the next thing (perhaps being more creative).
Kids need entertaining, so we made them some colouring in pictures – all based around the restaurant mascot – Johnny!
